Zucchini is a vegetable I absolutely love. Some say it doesn’t have much flavor. I say, when cooked well, it’s a real treat!

Low in calories and rich in water, zucchini contains 16.5 kcal per 100 g when raw and 15.5 kcal per 100 g when cooked, which is 0.8 to 0.7% of the recommended daily intake for an adult. Raw, it’s a good source of vitamin C and vitamin B9 and contributes to potassium, manganese, and vitamins B2 and B6 intake. When cooked, zucchini remains a good source of vitamin B9 and contributes to the intake of phosphorus and copper (source: Doctissimo). So, feel free to enjoy it without moderation!
