Halloween is coming my friends!! Halloween is coming!
Here is a super easy recipe for your Halloween appetizers, super fun too and that will make quite an impression! Please welcome my Halloween puff pastry mummy!
This recipe can be made in several other shapes of course (sun, crown…), at other times of the year, for appetizers or a nice stater.
I won’t use my usual recipe format, but I will explain it with pictures all the way. It’s the shaping and folding that will make it fun here (plus the taste that is yummy of course!)
Let’s do this!
The ingredients :
2 puff pastries
200 g smoked salmon
10 cl thick cream or cream cheese
8-10 stalks of chive
2 black olives
1 egg yolk and a tablespoon of milk
Salt
Pepper
Ground coriander
Ground ginger
The recipe now…
Preheat your oven at 200 degrees.
Spread one of the two puff pastries.
Spread thick cream, chopped chive, salt, pepper, ground coriander, ground ginger.
Leave 1 cm free on the border.
Cover with smoked salmon slices.
Brush a bit of water on the border.
Place the remaining puff pastry on top on the first one and press gently on the boarder.
Use scissors or a sharp knife to make horizontal cuts.
Fold the strips in a disordely way.
Add two olives to make the eyes of the mummy.
Brush with the egg yolk and milk mixture and cook 25 minutes or so.
Enjoy right away!
And trick or treat!!
Happy Halloween to you all!!

Merci d’avance
