It’s summer time, we want fresh, cool, good with little time in the kitchen and, please, no baking.
I have the dessert you’re looking for: my melon, watermelon and mint granita.
5 minutes of preparation (believe me. I’m telling no lies!!), 2 hours in the freezer and you will have a super delicious frozen dessert with a subtle taste of mint.
Cherry on the cake: it is super light and doesn’t cost much!!
So as it is very simple and quick to make, I won’t say more!
The recipe, Chef!
Remove the seeds from the melon. Make little balls out of the melon and watermelon. Set aside in your fridge. Cut the remaining melon and watermelon.Add the mint. Mix with a hand mixer. Set aside in your freezer for 2 hours. Scrape the partially frozen granita with the tines of a fork, breaking up any large chunks. Repeat this step two or three times over the course of freezing. Place the melon and watermelon balls on the granita. Serve! If your granita isn't frozen enough, that's okay: you will have a fresh melon, watermelon and mint soup!
You can add 5 cl of Pineau des Charentes before freezing, but for adults only!Melon, Watermelon and Mint Granita
