Heart Chocolate Poundcake

Heart Chocolate Poundcake

Ingredients

  • Cake
  • 3 eggs
  • 140 g sugar
  • 140 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 110 g vegetal oil
  • 110 g milk
  • Red food coloring
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
  • 100 g chocolate
  • Finish
  • 200 g Ruby chocolate
  • 50 g chopped nuts

Instructions

Cake

Preheat your oven at 160 degrees.

Separate the egg whites and yolks.

Whisk the egg whites until firm and set aside.

Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until foamy and white.

Add 1/3 of the flour. Combine.

Add half of the milk, combine.

Add another third of the flour and baking soda. Combine.

Pour the rest of the milk, combine.

Add the rest of the flour and the oil, mix well until you get an homogeneous batter.

Add gently the egg whites with a spatula.

Pour 1/3 of the batter in a bowl, add the food coloring and combine.

Pour in a rectangular mold.

Melt half of the chocolate, add it to the non colored batter, add the cocoa, combine and set aside in your fridge.

Place your rectangular mold in the oven for 20 minutes. Let cool down on a grid.

When the cake is at room temperature, shape as many hearts as you can.

Pour 2 cm of the chocolate batter in a 15 cm cake mold.

Cook 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven, place the colored hearts, one against each other, in the center. Pour the remaining chocolate batter.

Cook 50 minutes. (check with the tip of a knife)

Let cool down on a grid.

Finish

Melt the Ruby chocolate. Add the copped nuts.

Pour on the cake.
