Barbecue Sauce marinated Chicken Drumsticks

Hello my friends,

Today, I’m sharing an ultra-indulgent recipe, truly comforting, and one that I highly recommend eating with your hands!!

Here are my marinated chicken drumsticks with barbecue sauce.

This recipe was inspired by Noura’s Instagram account. I highly recommend checking it out—there are lots of great ideas. As always, I made a few adjustments: either because I didn’t have certain ingredients on hand or to add extra flavors…

I often serve my marinated chicken drumsticks with barbecue sauce alongside my potato wedges, and it’s an absolute delight! But you can also serve them with pilaf rice, my eggplant confit, or even steamed vegetables.

The recipe for these marinated chicken drumsticks with barbecue sauce is really simple. You’ll make a marinade using your spices, salt, pepper, barbecue sauce, a bit of tomato paste, and maple syrup. Then, just let your chicken drumsticks marinate in this mixture. I recommend marinating for at least an hour. The longer you marinate, the more flavorful your chicken drumsticks will be. Feel free to prepare them the night before for lunch or in the morning for dinner.

This recipe also has the great advantage of being budget-friendly. Chicken drumsticks are quite affordable per kilo. A nice bonus these days…

Finally, if the season allows, try cooking them on the barbecue. They’ll be absolutely delicious!

(And if you don’t have barbecue sauce, just use ketchup 😉 ).

Necessary utensils:

  • A large mixing bowl
  • A garlic grater
  • A spatula
  • A large ovenproof dish (I used my oven’s drip pan).

There you have it, I’m sure you have everything you need! So, shall we put on our aprons and make some marinated chicken drumsticks with barbecue sauce?

The recipe, Chef!
