Today is Shrove Tuesday and, In France, that means we are making donuts! Any kind of donuts…
To maintain this tradition, I will share my express apple donuts.

Express Apple Donuts
Ingredients
- Batter
- 200 g flour
- 20 g caster sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 g baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 25 cl milk
- Finish
- 5 - 6 apples
- Oil
- Icing sugar
Instructions
Batter
Combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and eggs.
Add the milk little by little.
Finish
Heat the oil in your frying machine (or a large sauce pan).
Peel the apples, remove the center and cut 1 cm thick slices (5 slices per apple).
Soak them into the batter and plunge them in the oil.
Turn them upside down to have them cooked on both sides.
When golden brown, place on absorbing paper.
Spread icing sugar and enjoy!
